A serial burglar has declared he is 'sick' of prison as he made a plea to a judge to spare him further time behind bars.

Christopher Arnold found himself at the dock of Birmingham Crown Court again today, Monday, September 8.

The 49-year-old from Newcombe Road, Handsworth was awaiting sentence after admitting his latest offence of burglary.

The charge stated on January 15 this year he targeted a property in Camp Lane and stole £1,230 of items including jewellery.

Birmingham Live has reported on Arnold committing similar break-ins in the past, particularly in Sutton Coldfield .

The court heard he is being considered for the Crime Feee Community Desistence Programme (C3).
