Birmingham City’s army of travelling fans are all too often taken advantage of by clubs looking to rake in a quick buck.
This was exemplified by Coventry City’s ticket prices for the upcoming match at the CBS Arena – £45 for adults, £40 for young adults (18-21) and seniors (65+) and £35 for under-18s.
All of those prices are difficult to read and swallow but charging children £35 to watch Championship football is, as the Birmingham City Official Supporters’ Club eloquently put it, ‘daylight robbery’.
Remember the days of ‘twenty is plenty’? That applied to adults, not children. Forty feels a bit naughty.
