That’s a wrap for Freevee, the popular free streaming service used by millions. Last week, Freevee’s parent company, Amazon shut down the service after months of preparing users for the platform’s end.

The app now redirects users to a website where they can download Prime Video, the other Amazon-owned streaming platform where Freevee content now lives.

Launched in 2019 under the Amazon-owned IMDb website, Freevee offered free, ad-supported content including TV shows, movies, original programming, and some Amazon Prime content. At one point, the service had an estimated 65 million active monthly users, but Amazon has decided to shutter it nonetheless.
