President Donald Trump 's approval rating among American voters "remains underwater," according to CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten .

Enten showed that Trump's net approval rating was at -12 points, according to CBS News , and -14 points, according to NBC News .

"You can go to a different network but it's the exact same story," Enten said to anchor Jessica Dean during a live newscast.

"Double digits on this, this has been the story throughout much of the Trump presidency. He remains under water as we get past Labor Day, Jessica," Enten added.

Trump's net approval rating has reportedly been negative since March 12, according to Enten.
