Stark County has a bit more summer weather left in the tank.

Comfortable conditions are on the way this week, with temperatures forecast to peak in the 80s.

"Primarily fair weather and cooler-than-normal late afternoon highs are expected today," the service's Cleveland station said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

In the Akron-Canton area, no rain is expected this week, continuing a dry pattern observed over the past few weeks.

Stark County recorded drought conditions last week

Stark County entered a period of considerable dryness as of Sept. 4, when the U.S. Drought Monitor found a swath of the southern part of the county to be in moderate drought, while the rest of the area was abnormally dry.
