EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Pittsburgh Steelers lost three players to injury against the New York Jets , head coach Mike Tomlin said. Safety DeShon Elliott suffered a knee injury, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has a tight hamstring, and linebacker Malik Harrison went down with a knee injury.
Harrison suffered the injury on the Jets’ final touchdown, a Justin Fields one-yard scamper, of the game where he collided with a Jets offensive lineman in the pile. He served as the team’s OLB4 with Nick Herbig out due to a hamstring strain.
Tomlin said they held Porter out for the rest of the game so his hamstring injury did not worsen, though it is unknown just how long he will miss, if at all.
