PEORIA, Ill. – It’s a tad cheaper to fill up your car in the Peoria area.
GasBuddy reports a drop of 0.9 cents in the average price of a gallon of unleaded, to $3.35/g on Monday.
Triple A is reporting the same average for the Peoria-Pekin metro area, but their average is 1.8 cents cheaper than last week.
GasBuddy’s numbers are 5.4 cents higher than a month ago, but 22.2 cents lower than a year ago.
The cheapest price in the Peoria area reported on Sunday by GasBuddy was $3.19/g, with the highest at $3.59/g.
Analysts say a switch to winter gasoline last this month could keep prices falling.
