GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — There wasn’t a lot to smile about for Lions fans on Sunday, but Hudsonville native Isaac TeSlaa stood out with an incredible touchdown catch in the game’s final minute.
It was arguably the only bright spot for the Lions, who were thoroughly outplayed and outcoached by the Green Bay Packers in a 27-13 loss at Lambeau Field. But football fans are calling TeSlaa’s catch an early contender for “best catch of the year.”
With 55 seconds to play, Jared Goff found TeSlaa near the left sideline. TeSlaa leapt up, caught the ball with his right hand and pulled it in as he fell to the ground. Initially, he was ruled out of bounds, but replay showed that the Unity Christian alum was able to get both feet in bounds before the rest of his body touched out of bounds.
