Sixty employees laid off and AGM delayed

An announcement on Monday by Exro Technologies Inc., said that Chief Executive Officer Sue Ozdemir has formally resigned from her position in the company.

Although she stepped away from her position, Ozdemir will continue to serve as a director of Exro.

“The company thanks Ms. Ozdemir for her service, and looks forward to her ongoing involvement with the company as a member of its Board of Directors,” the company announcement said.

Ozdemir served as the former CEO of General Electric, heading up GE’s industrial motor division at the time.

In 2019, Ozdemir was approached by Exro Technologies Inc., a Vancouver-based startup looking for a CEO.
