Hamilton police are searching for suspects after the driver of a stolen car allegedly fled from officers in a McDonald’s drive-thru, and then crashed minutes later.

Video of the incident posted on Facebook shows five officers approach the black Honda, after it was pinned in a fast food drive-thru at Queenston and Nash roads Friday night. As officers open the car doors, the driver mounts the curb and drives off erratically.

The incident began around 7:25 p.m. when police were called about a car that was being driven erratically in the area, said Const. Trevor McKenna. Police realized the car had been reported stolen out of Toronto and followed it to the McDonald’s where officers attempted to use a pin manoeuvre to block the car and arrest the driver.
