Sunday may have been a big day for football with the kickoff of the NFL’s 2025 season, but there was exciting gridiron competition happening in Cornwall too, as the Cornwall Wildcats took on the Bell Warriors across four National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) games at Joe St. Denis Field.

The training and conditioning of the Wildcats football program shone through on Sunday, as all four levels of the team won their respective games against the Warriors, who are based in Richmond, Ont., just southwest of Ottawa.

The closest competition was at the tyke (U10) level with the Wildcats securing a relatively close 40-32 victory .
