Indiana football will face off with Indiana State in a rare Friday night game for the Hoosiers .

IU is 2-0 entering its Week 3 matchup against the Sycamores. In Week 2, Indiana cruised to a 56-9 win over Kennesaw State . The Fernando Mendoza to Elijah Sarratt connection was dangerous against the Owls. Sarratt caught three touchdowns and had nine total catches for 97 yards.

Like Indiana, the Sycamores are 2-0 on the season. They hold wins over McKendree (41-24) and Eastern Illinois (38-14). Quarterback Elijah Owens has thrown for 317 yards and three scores in two games. Owens has also rushed for 157 yards. Running back Plez Lawrence leads ISU with 162 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.
