NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) -- A man was arrested in connection with an apparent robbery at a Dollar General store.

Calvin Jones, 55, of Normal, was arrested on charges of robbery, aggravated robbery, and burglary. He's accused of being in the store with a handgun.

Details were sparse, but according to police spokesman Brad Park, officers with the Normal Police Department were called on Sept. 2 to the 600 block of West Raab Road to a report of a man inside the Dollar General with a gun.

The man had run away before the police got there. After an investigation, Jones was identified as a person of interest and was subsequently arrested four days later on Sept. 6 and taken to the McLean County Jail, Park said.
