MANNINGTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — A Marion County school bus was involved in a vehicle accident Monday morning while five students were onboard.

According to a Marion County 911 official the accident happened at around 6:30 a.m. on Margaret Road in Mannington near the intersection of Whetstone Road.

Marion County School Superintendent Donna Heston confirmed to 12 News that five students were on the bus when the accident occurred, but there were no injures.

"We are thankful for the response of first responders and local law enforcement this morning for the safety of our students," Heston said. "We remind motorists to use caution and stay alert while on roads, particularly during the hours our school busses and student motorists are on the roads."
