Check your email: You may finally be soon getting a check as part of a $725 million Facebook settlement that dates back to 2023.

The settlement, which was reached with Facebook parent company Meta Platforms Inc. followed a lawsuit that alleged Facebook made users data available to third parties without their permission. It also claimed the platform did not monitor or enforce third-party access to the data they received.

According to a settlement website , the suit was finalized in May 2025 after a series of appeals. Payments to claimants began in August and were expected to continue over the next 10 weeks, the site said.
