For the 20th straight year, Gov. Jared Polis declared September as Workforce Development Month .

In line with that proclamation, the Mesa County Workforce Center, 512 29 1/2 Road, will host an array of free workshops and opportunities to empower local job seekers.

According to a Mesa County Department of Human Services blog post, the many events will benefit all types of job seekers, whether they are starting a job search, updating their resume or preparing for interviews.

Build a Resume: Sept. 10, starting at 2 p.m.

Draft, edit and workshop a polished resume to capture potential employers' attention.

Rapid Resume Reviews: Sept. 17, at 2 p.m.

Receive concise, one-on-one feedback on a resume and learn how to make it stand out.

Speed Interviewing: Sept. 23, at 9 a.m.
