I was happy to see Don Braid’s recent column, bringing to light the move by Premier Danielle Smith’s government to claw back the $200 per month federal disability benefit from AISH recipients, rather than allowing them to keep the “hand up” intended by the Government of Canada.

Last month, I wrote to my local UCP MLA, imploring him to use his voice in government to encourage the Alberta government to rethink this mean-spirited policy directed at one of the most vulnerable segments of our population.
