BOISE, Idaho — The Discovery Center of Idaho is looking to re-imagine discovery through its capital campaign to expand and upgrade its facilities.
Development Director Kate Cwikiel said they are more than halfway to their goal of raising $6.4 million.
"Aimed to just create a more modern and updated space for our visitors and for our growing community here in Boise and the Treasure Valley," said Cwikiel.
Work has already begun to re-imagine the Discovery Center's future by reaching out to the community to help secure future growth.
The hands-on science center has been around since 1988, and the building was originally used as a naval recruiting center before that.
They are relying on donations from community foundations and the public.
