A social media star and rising music artist popular in Guyana has been hospitalized after being shot several times over the weekend.

Lola Doll, whose real name is Lolita Callender of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was struck while sitting in her car outside her home at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, according to preliminary details shared by the Guyana Police Force.

Police believe Lola Doll was shot by a male suspect on a motorcycle.

The 33-year-old influencer suffered from gunshots to the neck, face, hands and right leg, according to police. She was transported to a hospital and was considered to be in critical condition.
