A Montgomery man is facing kidnapping and domestic violence charges in an incident where the alleged victim was rescued by law enforcement two counties away, Montgomery sheriff's office officials say.

“This is another terrible example of the dangers of domestic violence," aid Wesley Richerson, assistant chief deputy for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. "If it were not for the dedication of the men and women of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and our partners at the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office, this case would have likely had a tragic outcome."
