President Donald Trump has found the latest target of his anger: Tom Hanks .

The 79-year-old President of the United States called out the 69-year-old Forrest Gump actor while praising West Point for canceling a ceremony to honor the star.

He was set to receive the Sylvanus Thayer Award on September 25 for his veteran advocacy and portrayals of members of service in his projects, but the West Point Association of Graduates scrapped the ceremony.

Retired Army Col. Mark Bieger , president and CEO of the West Point Association of Graduates, said “this decision allows the Academy to continue its focus on its core mission of preparing cadets to lead, fight, and win as officers in the world’s most lethal force, the United States Army,” via The Washington Post .
