WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - NASA Astronaut and Brigadier General Nick Hague was in Wichita on Monday speaking to students at Christa McAuliffe Academy.

Hague grew up in Hoxie and served as a flight engineer and commander on multiple missions to the International Space Station. He spoke about the importance of STEM - science, technology, engineering, and math - as the foundation for future opportunities.

"Whether it's exploring the stars or building really complicated machines and robots, or discovering new fields of science, that's what's going to fuel their future," Hague said.

During his presentation, he showed videos from his spacewalks.
