FORT VALLEY, Ga. — A bus was involved in an crash this morning in Fort Valley, according to Lt. Juan Orozco with the Fort Valley Fire Department.

He says that a Jeep Durango hit the bus Monday morning.

Marla Sellers, who does communication for Peach County Schools, says it happened near Buckeye Road and Highway 96 in Fort Valley just before 6:10 a.m. this morning.

The bus was carrying high school students when the crash took place, Sellers said.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, they say the bus was traveling north when it stopped at a stopped sign. That's when they say the bus attempted to make a left turn, which is when it traveled into the path of the Dodge Durango.

GSP said there were 14 students onboard at the time of the crash and 11 suffered minor injuries. The driver of
