MACON, Ga. — A 23-year-old man was found shot after running his car into a fire hydrant in east Macon Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They say it happened in the 2300 block of Shurling Drive at around 3:33 Tuesday morning.
When deputies arrived, they found a car hit a fire hydrant alongside the 23-year-old man who was shot, the press release said.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says paramedics responded to the scene and took the victim to the hospital for treatment.
Medical staff tells the sheriff's office that the victim is in critical but stable condition.
The sheriff's office says the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains under investigation. They say additional information will be provided when it is available.
