NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are rising on Monday ahead of a week with several data reports that could dictate by how much or even whether the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates at its next meeting in a week.

The S&P 500 added 0.2% and was just below its record set last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 16 points, or less than 0.1%, as of 12:32 p.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 0.6% higher.
