Mostly dry conditions are in place to start the workweek. A few pop-up showers and thunderstorms may be possible in the mountains and in eastern New Mexico this afternoon and Tuesday, but most areas will stay dry, and any rainfall will be light.

Monsoon moisture starts to build back into New Mexico starting Wednesday as low pressure system approaches from the northwest. This will bring back scattered showers and storms to the northern and eastern parts of the state, along with the mountains. Moisture increases Thursday and Friday, bringing even more showers and storms to the state.
