Jury selection began Monday in Fort Pierce, Florida, in the federal trial of Ryan Routh, accused of plotting to assassinate former President Donald Trump. Routh allegedly planned the attack for weeks, including camping near Trump’s golf course with a rifle, and was arrested after a Secret Service agent fired at him. He is representing himself, faces federal charges including attempted assassination, and opening statements are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 11.
