AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - One local teenager is now cancer-free after ringing the bell at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia this summer.

Sulli Hajek, 13, is sharing her story of resiliency, reminding other young patients to keep that finish line in sight.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and on this Miracle Monday, we’re shining a light on Sulli, who spent the last two years undergoing chemotherapy on the fifth floor of the children’s hospital.

That’s where so many other young kids are continuing their fight today.

Sulli’s journey to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia started after she kept falling asleep in class.
