Manlius, N.Y. — A man is facing charges after police say he drove off after a crash Sunday that left another driver injured and a home fence damaged in the town of Manlius.
Around 2:27 p.m., officers were called to Green Lakes Road and Genesee Turnpike (Rt. 5), where a Ford Mustang hit a Honda CRV and then hit a fence, according to Sgt. Louis Dashno, a spokesperson for the Manlius Police Department.
Cory Loomis, a resident on Genesee Turnpike, said he saw the Mustang hit the CRV. The Mustang swerved and hit the fence at a home next door, he said.
“He was trying to back out, but his tires were stuck for a moment,” Loomis said. “Then he was able to back up and he took off.”
