ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Some former professional basketball players spent the weekend in DeKalb County hosting a clinic that brings fathers and children together.

Former New York Knicks Allan Houston and Charlie Ward welcomed families to the “Father Knows Best” event on Sunday at the Samson Health and Fitness Center in Stonecrest. Organizers say the experience focuses on personal growth through faith, integrity, sacrifice, leadership, and legacy.

“The goal is to be able to share that message with those that are in attendance,” Charlie Ward said.

“What really makes it special [is to] have some vulnerable time together,” Allan Houston said.

The clinic is a collaboration between the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation and the Charlie and Tonja Ward Family Foundation.
