One person faces charges after the Ontario Provincial Police and London police joined forces to shut down an illegal dispensary in London last month, resulting in the seizure of nearly $40,000 worth of cannabis products.
In July, the OPP-led joint forces cannabis enforcement team along with London police officers began an investigation into an illegal cannabis dispensary operating in the city under the name Chief’s Corner, according to an OPP news release.
While police did not elaborate on the location, Chief’s Corner’s website indicates it operates out of a location at 256 Richmond St. at Horton Street and describes itself as an “Indigenous cannabis retailer.”
The dispensary had been operating without authorization from Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario or Health Canada, poli
