PALMYRA, Mo. -- Believe in yourself.
That was the message first-year Palmyra head coach Justin Hutchings had for the Panthers as they entered Friday night's matchup against Bowling Green, who are coming off back-to-back Class 2 state semifinal appearances.
That message was well-received as Palmyra pulled off a 50-18 stunner over the Bobcats.
"We believed in ourselves," said Hutchings. "I told them this week if you play as physical as you did last week against Hallsville, we can beat any team. They proved that tonight against a very tough team that I respect a lot. I know Bowling Green's history and they're a great team."
