A terminal Heathrow Airport, the UK's busiest airport, was evacuated due to an incident. Those scheduled to depart from the airport's Terminal 4 today (Monday, September 8) were advised not to travel.

An official spokesperson for the airport confirmed that Terminal 4 has been evacuated in response to the incident.

Firefighters confirmed they were called to a 'possible hazardous materials' incident at around 5pm. In a statement shortly after 8pm Heathrow Airport confirmed the terminal was reopening.
