BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - A former school bus driver is facing charges after allegedly driving under the influence with children on board.
Tomas Podolski, 65, appeared in Ward County court Monday on misdemeanor DUI charges. Deputies say he was intoxicated while transporting 18 students. Court records show Podolski registered a 0.214 blood alcohol content on a breathalyzer—nearly three times the legal limit.
Investigators also reported finding an open container of vodka inside the bus.
Podolski pleaded not guilty. Minot Public Schools confirmed to KX News that he is no longer employed by the district.
