TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for human trafficking, according to Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier.

Sky Skidmore pled guilty to human trafficking for commercial sexual activity, lewd or lascivious battery, tampering with a victim, promoting a sexual performance by a child and use of a two-way device to commit a felony, AG Uthmeier wrote in a press release Monday.

In addition to the 20-year prison sentence, Skidmore was also sentenced to 10 years of sexual offender probation for human trafficking and related crimes, per the press release.

His sentencing comes after an investigation was conducted in 2023, revealing that Skidmore had been exploiting a minor for commercial sex, according to the attorney general. S
