The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood statement at 4:33 p.m. on Monday valid from Tuesday 9 p.m. until Wednesday midnight for Nassau County.
"Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline," says the weather service. "Additional minor coastal flooding is possible with subsequent high tides, particularly for the Wednesday morning and Thursday morning cycles."
