WELLFORD, S.C. (WSPA) - Residents in the City of Wellford are growing increasingly fearful after a pack of dogs have been attacking pets and livestock in the area.

Neighborhood residents, surrounding the Wellford Landfill, said the growing menace has them on high alert.

“The day before yesterday, I was napping and my husband was outside with [our dog] LeRoy. I woke up a little bit later, I said, 'where's Leroy?' He goes, 'He was attacked by those wild dogs,'" Sandra Blackwell said.

Blackwell said Leroy is recovering after the attack.

She isn't the only one with a frightening encounter as her neighbors had similar experiences.
