MONROE COUNTY, Tennessee — Four people are facing additional charges after a 71-year-old woman was attacked by multiple dogs in Monroe County, Sheriff Tommy Jones confirmed.

Deputies found Mary Norwood on Saturday with several lacerations after witnesses said 10 to 15 pit bull mixes attacked her. Bystanders managed to corral the dogs, and Norwood was taken to a hospital, according to MCSO. Her condition has not been released.

Clayton Warren Davis, Sarah June Burris, Ricky Lee Burris and Sheila Jenene Kryzak were each charged in connection with the attack. Their initial charges included Animals at Large, resulting in serious injury.
