New Orleans Saints tackle Taliese Fuaga will be monitored throughout the week to determine if he can play in next weekend’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, coach Kellen Moore said Monday.

Fuaga was pulled from Sunday’s 20-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals with a knee injury. Moore said “we’ll see” when asked if Fuaga was okay, but also said there were a handful of players who would require “maintenance” as the week progressed.

“Just during the game, it became a thing that just kept bothering him,” Moore said. “Ultimately, we had to make the decision to slide Asim (Richards) in there and give him a chance and put us in a position there.”
