BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - There’s a new resource on campus to help students look and feel their best.

Principal Robert Wells cares about more than just his students’ grades.

“To be able to fill some of the gaps for students that normally a school couldn’t fill,” said Wells.

Thanks to a partnership with United Healthcare, Wells has been able to tackle some of the Broadmoor High School community’s biggest challenges, starting with a food pantry.

“Having an opportunity to provide supplies for students and their families who have a food shortage, so we did that, opened it last year, and it’s been very successful,” explained Wells. “They asked me what else I wanted to do; this was the next thing.”

That next thing is a personal wellness cove inside the library. A $12,000 donation from Unite
