WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - November 4th: it’s a date on the minds of the 4 people running for two seats on Watertown’s City Council.

Current council members Lisa Ruggiero and Cliff Olney didn’t get by June’s primary, though both are hoping people will write in their names on the ballot.

The four candidates on the ballot, Doug Osborne, Shane Garrabrant, Pete Monaco, and Anthony Velazquez, will go door-to-door in the next two months to connect with voters.

“A change, just being someone who has been running a positive campaign, that’s what this is all about. Just bringing us back into a positive direction,” said Osborne.

“I hope they say ‘hey, I know that guy, he’s honest, he’s trustworthy, and he’ll listen.’ If there’s a problem, I’ll work to solve the problem,” said Monaco.
