The second largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history ended on Saturday, Sept. 6, when two ticket holders won.

The winning numbers were as follows: 11, 23, 44, 61 and 62. The Powerball was 17 and the multiplier was 2.

Among the grand prize winners were a multitude of smaller winners, many of whom were from New Jersey. One lucky South Jersey resident scored big with a $1 million ticket.

Who won the Powerball jackpot?

Two tickets perfectly matched all five white ball numbers and the Powerball number from Sept. 6. The winners will now split the jackpot of $1.787 billion.

One ticket winner is from Missouri, while the other is from Texas.

This Powerball jackpot is the second largest in U.S. history. The world-record jackpot occurred in 2022, when a California resident won $2.04 billion.
