Derry Township Police honored Detective David Rode with the Outstanding Arrest Award.

Detective Rode responded to a burglary call at a business and found a sledgehammer with duct tape wrapped around the handle.

Rode carefully peeled the tape off and lifted fingerprints from the sticky ride, which led to the arrest of a suspect.
