BUFFALO, N.Y. — Fans watching Sunday’s home opener may have noticed something special atop Josh Allen’s head.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback wore a custom-designed cap created by a patient at Oishei Children’s Hospital. As part of his role as director of “Billustration” at New Era Cap, Allen is helping bring young patients’ artwork to life through a series of nine unique hats — one for each home game this season.
This week’s cap was designed by 5-year-old Jaxson. According to their website, Jaxson spent the first 44 days of his life in the NICU at Oishei Children’s Hospital and has undergone nine surgeries for Myotonic Dystrophy.
