BUFFALO, N.Y. — Hospital workers from three Buffalo hospitals continue to negotiate with Catholic Health for expanded benefits.

The workers union is represented by CWA, and are bargaining for workers at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, Kenmore Mercy, and Sisters of Charity Hospital.

The CWA announced over 90% of members at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo voted to strike "if Catholic Health refuses to agree to a fair contract." In a press release, the union clarified that the vote does not mean that they will be immediately going on strike, but that they now have authority to strike if their needs are not met. The union is required to give a 10-day notice to Catholic Health before any strike is to take place.
