Olympic skier AJ Hurt is the ultimate "take your kid to work" success story. Hanging out with her dad at his "office" started her Olympic journey.

"My dad has been a patrol longer than I've ever been alive," says Hurt.

Hurt grew up on the slopes of Palisades Tahoe Ski Resort where her dad is a longtime member of the Palisades National Ski Patrol .

One of Hurt's fondest childhood memories is hanging out with her dad at the end of his work day.

Hurt remembers, "He would let me go on the sweep. It's when they make sure everyone is off the mountain at the end of the day, take down all the signs."

Hurt raced her first World Cup at the age of 16. She's an eight-year U.S. Ski Team member, three-time U.S. Alpine Champion, and made her Olympic debut at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
