It's game on this week in Nanaimo.

The 55-Plus B.C. Games will be held Wednesday through Saturday, Sept. 10-13.

Organizers are expecting more than 2,700 registered participants competing in 21 sports and games, not to mention all the coaches, officials, family members, friends and fans who will also be in the Harbour City.

Diana Johnstone, president of the Nanaimo 55-Plus B.C. Games Host Society, in the event program published by the News Bulletin, thanked volunteers, sponsors and partners who have been providing support.
