The newest season of White Rock Concerts, one of the longest-lived arts organizations on the Peninsula, starts on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the series' usual venue, White Rock Baptist Church (1657 140 St.)

First concert of the season (on Oct. 18) will feature the renowned Cheng Duo – siblings Bryan Cheng (cello) and Silvie Cheng (piano).

Their programme, entitled Unravelling Ravel , will present music by such impressionists as Spanish composer Manuel de Falla, French composers Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, and impressionism-adjacent Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky, finding a common linking thread is the influential work of Ravel.
