Wilmer Jones Ham McZee, Saginaw’s first female mayor, dies

SAGINAW, MI — Wilmer Jones Ham McZee, Saginaw’s first female mayor who last served in an elected office for the city 18 years ago, has died, one of her political successors said.

“The city’s prayers are with her family,” said Saginaw Mayor Brenda Moore, who learned of Ham McZee’s death via her family on Monday, Sept. 8.
