WEST FARGO — Eight high school volleyball teams are set to play four outdoor matches on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at The Lights in West Fargo for the inaugural Landon's Light Volleyball Invite. But they need a court to play on first.

Crews from Deckmasters, organizers with the Landon's Light Foundation, and several volunteers on Monday helped put together the brand new 60-by-90-foot court for the volleyball matches.

Scott Klemetson with Deckmasters said that Beyond Concrete first poured a sub-base of gravel and concrete that was compacted. Then they rolled rubber over the top of that as a barrier between the subfloor and the tile surface.

"We're basically building an indoor court outside right now," Klemetson said.
